This bench is part of a small but heartfelt project. In 2021, our family business UpTech Group OÜ manufactured and installed five benches along Uuesalu’s pedestrian and cycling paths. The bench by Põdra Road was the very first—a gift to walkers and cyclists so they could pause, rest their feet, and enjoy the calm of their home village.
Our story in Uuesalu began back in 2010, when we moved here. Since then, the village and its people have been more than just neighbors to us—the community has become our home. Because our core business is selling production technology to cable‑processing companies, we can’t support the community through our day‑to‑day work alone. But we’ve always believed in a simple principle:
“If you see something that needs fixing, come and help.”
Over the years we’ve contributed to many local initiatives: organizing the Uuesalu Children’s Fair “Lastelaat” since 2012, funding the lighting at the Metssea Road playground, helping build the BMX track’s starting platform, gifting a noise‑play mat to the kindergarten, supporting village clean‑up days, and decorating the flag plaza at Põdra House.
Our village motto is:
“Neighbours are just across the yard.”
